The 2009 Golden Wagon Film Festival is proud to announce this year's
selected films and events! All films and events will be take place in the
Ocean Beach Community theatre beginning at 2PM Saturday afternoon. Be sure

DOCUMENTARIES:
2PM - Pressure Cooker (99 Minutes)
A Documentary by: Mark Becker and Jennifer Grausman
Synopsis: Three seniors at Philadelphia's Frankford High School find an
unlikely champion in the high stakes world of professional cooking. Against
the backdrop of the row homes of working-class Philadelphia, Wilma
Stephenson's hilariously blunt boot-camp method of teaching has helped
countless students reach the top culinary schools in the country. Under her
fierce direction, the usual distractions of high school are swept aside as
three students burn up the low expectations everyone around them has, while
they slice, dice, and cook up a future nobody could foresee.
4PM - The English Surgeon (93 Minutes)
A Documentary by: Geoffrey Smith
Synopsis: Shot in a Ukrainian hospital full of desperate patients and
makeshift equipment, "The English Surgeon" is an intimate portrait of brain
surgeon Henry Marsh as he wrestles with the dilemmas of the doctor-patient
relationship.

Synopsis: A young couple tries to save their marriage by dressing up as
super heroes in the bedroom, but when they're forced out onto the streets of
New York City, they end up saving much more than their sex life.
Escapism (6 Minutes)

Synopsis: A mysterious animated figure offers an escape.
DRAW (23 Minutes)
Written and Directed by: Ryan Pearce
Synopsis: A young man who owes his life to a bookie, attempts to find
redemption in a poker game.
THE FEATURE PRESENTATION:
7:15PM - The Answer Man (95 Minutes)
Starring; Jeff Daniels and Lauren Graham
Written & Directed by; John Hindman
Synopsis: Arlen Faber (Daniels) is the reclusive author of "Me and God", a
book that redefined spirituality for an entire generation. On the eve of the
20th anniversary of his still wildly popular book, Arlen is sought after as
the man who still has all the answers. Arlen's life collides with Elizabeth
(Graham), a single mom raising her seven year old son, and Kris, a young man
fresh out of rehab who is searching for meaning. Both Elizabeth and Kris are
hopeful that Arlen has the answers, but the truth is, he hasn't got a clue.

Because of the overwhelming amount of films submitted this year, Golden
Wagon has expanded this beloved annual event! From 12:30 to 1:30 check out
the best High School produced films of this year and then from 1:30 to 2:30
check out the best in College Films. Help decide which films from each
category will take home the Audience Choice Award.
